People Portraits

People have many varied faces influenced by nationality, culture and the effects of experience and time. All of these give every face a unique beauty and character.

I do my portraits of people mainly from reference photographs supplied by the subject.  Photographs can hide and distort some features and in these instances I may ask for further photos or a meeting with the subject if possible.

I am able to alter and change various features in a face but I always advise against this as I believe in representing people as they truely are!

For example if I give a gap toothed eight year old boy a full set of teeth by time he reaches an age where he has a full set of teeth his face will have changed anyway and he will never look like his portrait.
