The Portraits That Bite Complete Experience

Why Choose Me to Paint Your Pet’s Portrait?

When you commission me to paint your pet’s portrait you receive more than just a portrait you become a part of a whole experience. You have as much involvement with the process of creating as you wish!
Firstly the photograph/s to be used are selected with care so that your pet’s best profile is shown and their personality shines through
Then I discuss composition with you-That is whether you want just a head view; a head and shoulders view; a full body; and a plain or full background.
Once we have decided how we want the portrait to look I will email you a rough mock up to give you an idea how your pet portrait will look with the chosen pose and background.
I then proceed with the portrait and at intervals I will email you a WIP so that you may see the portraits development every step of the way. I also post a WIP on my blog for others to see provided I have your approval to do this and that the portrait is not to be a surprise gift for someone.
Once I am finished I will send you a final WIP email for approval and make any required adjustments.
You may or may not choose to elect me to arrange the framing for you. If you do I will take your portrait to my professional framer with whom I have an excellent working relationship and together we will select a few frame options which best suit the portrait. I photograph our selections and email them to you so that you can be part of the selection process.
If you live too far away to collect your portrait in person I will arrange delivery for you. I use ‘Pack and Send’ as a carrier and to date they are very reliable and handle my portraits with the greatest of care. They will make a custom box for your portrait which is then sent to you sensitive freight.
In addition to all of the above as part of your Portraits That Bite experience you will receive with your portrait the following;
  • Certificate of Authenticity signed by me.
  • Information about the media used to create your portrait (paste or oil).
  • Instructions on how to care for your artwork.
  • A history of Pastel or Oil
  • Receipt of Purchase
  • A set of six Gift Cards featuring your pet’s portrait.
  • Any photos (CD’s, USB’s or hard copies) which you have provided me with to use in the creation of your portrait.
